Plex.tv Did not work?

Plex fell while watching. Is this a general problem?

Looks like there is a “Partial System Outage” (or major) … https://status.plex.tv/

I understand that my server works on condition that plex.tv works. Problems of this world.

My server crashed hard and I had to restart the container to get it back up again. The timing matches with the outage.

There luckily is a offline mode that kicked in on our Roku’s but this does disconnect our household to all other accounts to switch to within the Plex Home. I’m grateful that I don’t serve anyone outside my residence. This outage is definitely a vote for proper offline access outside the Plex verification. However, I also vote for 2FA as well for greater security.

still has issues

Same here. Can still watch locally. Plex fell and server crashed after restart I could resume the movie on the apple TV.

my server crashed at the time of the outage and is not completely working after a manual restart.

this hat to be fixed. the local server should NEVER crash if the internet or the plex infrastructure has a problem. and it should ALWAYS work for my local media.

Same for me. Plex crashed.

I am from the update of January 28 that I have the plex media server that stops by itself and I have to restart the nas manually to restart it. this causes sadness

local servers are fine… just the plex.tv that’s down
That makes client connections down if they need authentication…

my local server is not fine. home hangs forever, only the library views work.

local Plex, Plex ht and plex mp do not work at all

ios sees only shows only parts of my libraries, can play the last selected audio book.

remote access to my own server is also not working.

this is far to much that is not working.

also downloads on the plex site are not working for me

DNS can be resolved on www.plex.tv, but plex.tv does not resolve. Almost looks like a route/dns problem.

Plex status shows it down

Plex down here too. Server is perfect. All is good. But Plex bug as hell. Only my account in local available.

if {plex.tv auth down} then {https://my.own.private.server.org:32400/web/index.html# NOT loading libraries}
#todo fix this ^

try your PMSipaddress:32400/web

also the status page is; https://status.plex.tv/

you can bookmark that…

So because of this problem, some of my external users can still use my server, but I CANNOT! Can you see the irony in that?

And this is EXACTLY the reason why sooo many people harp on about the necessity to be able to use Plex Offline!

So because my HTPC with PMP was offline when the fault happened, it cannot log, and therefore cannot run… An so far it is NOT giving me the ability to go into settings in order to add local server IP’s. GREAT!

So unimpressed!

did you try connecting directly to your server?
