Recently I’ve noticed that the only available agent when matching a specific show is Plex TV Series. This is fine and well except for Pokémon TMDB has metadata more akin to the US air dates which is what I prefer and how I have the files organized.
I have the entire library set to Plex TV Series after the update pushed it out and was still able to specify the agent for Pokémon until I noticed I was not able to today.
The new agent works slightly differently when it comes to that.
The show itself is already matched… all you need (want) to do is to change the episode order to match that from TMDb.
Edit the show ()
Go to the Advanced tab
Set Episode ordering to The Movie Database (Aired)
Save your changes
Usually this should trigger Plex to update the metadata – if it doesn’t do that on its own you can always trigger it yourself
Wasn’t sure where to stick this so here goes. I just gut Seven Days(1998) and Plex TV series only offers 7 Days. I have already Named the episodes correctly Seven days using RenameMyTVSeries and Plex wants to offer 7 days instead. I went in and corrected it and it’s showing like it should, but when I went in to match I should of had the option of TMDB, IMDB, and TVDB besides your service. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks
From the looks both names are used as alternative titles.
If you have a problem matching a show you can enter the external ID in the search field with a prefix of the respective reference.
e.g. tmdb-4562 or tvdb-74540 for Seven Days / 7 Days
When the show came out it was called Seven Days not 7 Days, so no Seven Days is no an alternative title. Looks like the services with the exception of one chose to label it 7 Days. I got it fixed to my liking so no big deal now.
