Plex auto match not working- solved

I am having an issue with Plex not being able to find matches any longer. I noticed in the past couple of weeks that new items werent being matched at all. I tried to renaming the folders to include the TMDB and TVDB numbers. I uninstalled and reinstalled Plex with no change. I went as far as doing a clean install of windows and plex. Once i reinstalled plex, i added my libraries and it began to match everything perfectly. Within a few days, the problem returned.
I uninstalled the VPN, Port forwarding is on and pointed at the correct port. I can access the server remotely no problem. I updated the DNS settings to Google and restarted the server. I have rebooted the computer. Am i missing something?

What Agent and Scanner are you using?

plex series scanner
thetvdb agent

@jessier4025 I would not recommend using the legacy agent. I would use the Plex TV Series and the agent to Plex Series and make sure your Episode ordering is set to thetvdb.

If that does not solve the issue please post a complete copy of your plex server logs.

EDIT: I know the legacy agents dont support using the IDs like the modern agent does.

you are absolutely correct… Your question about the agents triggered me to go back and check the library settings specifically for the scanner and agent. I changed the agent to Plex series and made sure episode ordering was changed to TVDB which it wasnt. As soon as i did, it began to work perfectly. Thank you!!
