Plex TV streaming dropping frames and fast forwarding when rewinding

I’m using Plex from an unRAID server, and direct play from my Sony 950G, I can notice frame drops, and when trying to rewind, Plex player has the tendency to fast forward instead.

Any way I can fix these issues?

Same problem for a long time.
Current Plex Media Server Version: 1.18.4.2171
Current Android Plex App Version: 7.27.0.15018
TV: Sony KD-55XE8577
Android 8.0

On the TV, the Philips on Android 8.0 works fine.

I am experiencing the same issue with my x950g

Like the OP, the video will randomly drop frames, but the audio continues without any interruptions.

I’m on Android 9, and experiencing random dropped frames when using Plex.
The issue is more prevalent when watching 4k remux files.

I’ve tested with both ethernet and 5ghz wifi

I’ve also tried with both ARC, Optical and TV Audio, none of the audio options have had any impact.

Happy to provide logs if required, What other information can be provided to help assist?

So, unrelated/related question, if you have a x950G have you notice sound problems and not working correctly where you need to restart the TV to fix the issue, after installing Android 9?

I’m wondering because I’ve been dealing with some problems.
