I have an issue. I have 2 android xiaomi mi tv boxes. Plex server runs on an iCloud home box. Has been working beautifully for almost a year. Just for the last 2 days the plex app on the tv boxes does not want to play anything. Plex tv app works through everywhere else fine. Nothing has changed. I even factory reset the 1 tv box and still no luck. Works fine through my android phone and roku tv box ?
Am stumped please help
Turn off the new video player under settings and advance if your updated to 9.0.

On the Plex application, go to settings, scroll down to Advanced, and then go over to new video player and disable it.

Just curious, do you have any idea what causes this?
To be honest no. But it looks like it’s affecting most Android 9.0 devices. Backdating the software gets the new player working. So it has to be something Plex has to tweak.

Fantastic that worked. The problem only seems to be on the Android TV Boxes (Xiaomi for me), as still worked fine without any setting changes on my cell phone, windows laptop and Roku TV Box as well

that’s not a solution … all people who use xiaomi box S are impacted by this issue.
