I’m on latest server and I’m having issues matching one ep of Mr. Robot. Not gunna lie, my OCD tendencies are in overdrive right now
Uh, same problem I deal with in every aspect of my life! Ha ha. I feel you. That’s why I was posting about this at 2am this morning cause I couldn’t even go to sleep with one show listed as “Episode 1.” Kept telling myself "deal with it when you wake up. Who cares? No one will watch it from now until 8 in the morning. Ha ha.
Let me know if there’s anything I can do for checks and balances.
Okay, so I tried something different. I removed a TV Show I had with 5 episodes. I then restarted the Plex server, Cleaned Bundles, Emptied Trash, Optimized the Database, quit Plex, opened Plex and added the 5 episodes back. It pulled up the TV Show name, poster, and description but each episode is listed as Episode 1, 2, etc. On thetvdb.com the episode names are indeed listed properly.
It pulled all SHOW information properly (banner, posters, description as I mentioned) but pulled zero EPISODE information properly.
I tried one query 6 times earlier this evening and it finally returned good data but it appears dead again. Hopefully they get it sorted soon, hate missing artwork

Problems retrieving TV metadata for most users
Resolved - Connectivity issues with TheTVDB have been resolved and both TV metadata retrieval and matching are again functional for users. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

Identified - We are currently experiencing connectivity issues with TheTVDB for our metadata servers. This will result in problems retrieving TV metadata for the majority of users. We’re actively working to resolve things and expect to see improvements throughout the day.
A backup might be good to look at though, since this has happened (on a smaller scale) a few times this year. Regardless, I’m much appreciated on the effort and the platform of Plex in general. Boo yaa!

Still not working for me even though thetvdb is back up and the message has been removed from the forums. Episodes names are not being updated.
I had the same issue when refreshing individual episodes. When I refreshed the series instead, the offending episode did get updated metadata.
@oxhey said: @pauldarkside How do you refresh a series. Iv done update libraries many times.
In my case Mr. Robot s02e11 wasn’t getting its episode title. So, via the web browser, I navigated to the series Mr. Robot (where I can see the series details and posters for seasons 1 & 2) and clicked on the refresh button to the left.
still not working for me either, just scans and says getting metadata info for selected file, and a second later says finished loading bu nothing, no cover art, no episode info nudda… what is going on guys?

Try removing the series, show or folder…whatever it is, empty the trash after a refresh and then add it again. See what it does?
