Not sure if anyone has experienced this, but my plex server for a couple years has been using 100% of available upload during the initial 30 seconds or so of a remote user starting a stream. My isp is providing 50 up. The upload speed in remote access is set to 32 mbps with a stream rate of 8mbps. Remote access is working at it should, no proxy or anything. Server is running through a UDM Pro which I’ve tried using qos set all the way down to 25 mbps upload to no differing effect. During the initial stream to any remote user (transcode or not) plex is sending as much data as it possibly can across the pipe which is causing massive latency for any other activity (games, voip, etc) happening at the same time. Short of modifying the port for the server to limit the bandwidth, i’m rather at a loss for what’s going on. (and why the qos in the udm isn’t effecting plex data is another story)
