Has anyone else had trouble with Plex naming DVR’ed shows using the “show name - air date - episode name” format? This means that once Plex picks up the finished recording it classifies it wrong as the air date of 09-01 will be translated to S09E01 while it may actually be S02E04. However the episode name is correct.
My particular issue at the moment is with House Hunters International. I suspect the issues occurs because the episode/season data is not provided in the EPG that Plex is referencing?
Any tips or advice?

Have you looked at the EPG data for the show? Gracenote has a tendency to not be exactly accurate which could cause issues with show naming. I noticed a problem with a show I record yesterday:
The episode 09-25 which is the date it scheduled to air will more than likely cause a problem as you are describing.
