Plex using lots of data on WiFi

I have the Nvidia Shield Android TV as my Plex Media Server with a USB drive connected to it where all my Plex video is stored. The Nvidia Shield Android TV is connected wirelessly to my router.

My question is why is it using basically 1GB per hour for me to stream to my iPad? I’m at home connected to the same router/network name as the Nvidia Shield Android TV. Why would this be using so much data?
