Server Version#: Version 1.19.2.2673

Ever since the update from April 16, 2020, the server keeps crashing. It’s become really annoying, since the service stops in the middle of a movie and I have to run to the server and start Plex again. I have to do this at least 15 times a day, I already tried downloading and reinstalling the server, with the same result. Restarted the PC multiple times. PLEASE HELP!!!
Check out this thread:
In at least a few of the cases it looks like the last thing which occurred before the crash was the server testing the Intel Quick Sync Video API (for hardware accelerated transcoding):
Apr 19, 2020 21:27:50.430 [13092] DEBUG - Codecs: testing h264_qsv (encoder)
Apr 19, 2020 21:27:50.430 [13092] DEBUG - Codecs: hardware transcoding: testing API qsv
You could do a quick test to see if Plex’ use of QSV is causing issues by (temporarily) disabling hardware acceleration: Settings -> Transcoding -> …
The same logging exists in your logs, immediately before the crash uploader starts:
Apr 21, 2020 10:29:18.381 [12920] DEBUG - Codecs: testing h264_qsv (encoder)
Apr 21, 2020 10:29:18.382 [12920] DEBUG - Codecs: hardware transcoding: testing API qsv
Try disabling hardware accelerated transcoding to confirm if that’s the issue.
I disabled both these options:
Use hardware acceleration when available
Use hardware-accelerated video encoding
Should I keep at least one of them enabled?
For testing it is enough to just disable “User hardware acceleration when available.”
