as far as I know it’s the latest version, after changing the password i no longer had permission to access my libraries. I tried uninstalling and re installing the app. when i click launch after installing nothing opens. plex media server shows up in processes in the task manage but the app doesn’t seem to exist. what is going on? How do I fix this?
Download the latest version of Plex Media Server for Windows from here: https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server
Stop Plex server using its task tray icon (if present)
Uninstall Plex server using the regular Windows - Apps control panel
Install the downloaded server version.
Run it.
open your web browser and point it to http://127.0.0.1:32400
If it returns a message that says something about “currently performing database updates…”, let it sit until it finishes.
You can refresh the web browser from timew to time to see if something changed. But if your database is rather large, this process can potentially take hours.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
if i go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ it opens
okay it works now but i still can’t launch the web app
please help me
