Plex Web field names - I am puzzled

I have a couple of GERMAN movie libraries on a PMS running the newest server (Plex Pass).

Look at the movie list view to see my problem:

  • There is a field name called “Altersfreigabe” which means “age restriction / rating”. It shows a field where the Plex Web user can rate the movie by 0-5 stars.
  • There is a field called “Inhaltsbewertung” (which means content rating) and this contains the age restriction data “de/12”, and so on…

Look at the movie Edit dialog:

  • It has the “content ratings”/“Inhaltsbewertung” field on the right hand side and it also shows the “age restrictions” data.
  • In the center it shows a field called “Altersfreigabe” (age rating/restriction) and it shows the critics ratings.

Now look at the movie detail page:

It looks as everything is alright… (age restriction, critics rating, 0-5 star rating).

It looks as if the German field names are scrambled in Plex Web 3.2.0 and earlier…

This is a known issue. It has already been rectified in the translation project.
Now we need to wait for the next time when the translated strings get fetched over into the Plex Web release. (this happens only in larger intervals).

The string you are referring to exists in Plex Web, not the server.

Plex Media Server 1.6.0 is now available for Plex Pass members.

This release is not currently flagged for auto-updating. You can grab the version from our Downloads page and update manually in the meantime.

Check the ‘hosted’ Web app.

You might have to use this until a PMS server is released with Plex Web 3.5.0 (or later) included
