Plex Web - No posters only when searching

Server Version#: 1.24.3.5033
Player Version#: 4.63.0 (local) 4.67.0 (plex.tv)
No problem displaying posters when browsing libraries, but when searching for a title, some results will have no posters while others do.
Clicking on any result will display the poster.
It happens with TV Shows as well as movies.

I have deleted all caches and refreshed all metadata to no avail.

later edit:
Short video with the problem: posters
Some error from Chrome that I think might be cause:
Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://XX-XX-XX-100.0aa4e5322dbf4ca19ca4d13b13593cf1.plex.direct:32400/photo/:/transcode?width=240&height=360&minSize=1&upscale=1&url=%2Flibrary%2Fmetadata%2F29005%2Fthumb%2F1633568785%3FX-Plex-Token%3DAeLYE7NeZWqoeSpNhxwz&X-Plex-Token=AeLYE7NeZWqoeSpNhxwz’ from origin ‘https://app.plex.tv’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource.

even later edit:
Seems to be a Google Chrome specific problem related to CORS, as with Firefox everything works. My money is on something Plex side I cannot control.
Temporary solution: Allow CORS: Access-Control-Allow-Origin - Chrome Web Store

Huh, there doesn’t seem to be any issues with Plex.tv either.
How are you actually accessing Plex Web. There are two methods from a browser. #1 is directly from your Plex Server via localhost, http://127.0.0.1:32400/

#2 is through the https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/

Is there any confirmation that remote access works from the Settings page, if you’re using either method.

Edit: realized that Version 4.63.0 is the localhost but you should still check and see if you have this issue of images not loading on the Plex Web app via Plex.tv as well.

You can also quit the Plex Server.
Open the Plex Server again.
Run Database Optimization.
Run Clean Bundles.
Quit and reopen once more to see if the problem persists.

Thank you for your reply.
Did all that you are suggesting.
Accessing via localhost or plex.tv yields the same results. Maybe less missing posters via plex.tv but still a lot.

Found the problem. (or not)
Tried starting Chrome with the flags –disable-web-security --disable-gpu --user-data-dir=~/chromeTemp and all posters loaded as they should.
Made me think my Chrome went a bit insane so did a full reset, enabled back all my extensions and again, all the posters loaded as they should.
Somehow my browser went on strike for some reason, but a good spank made it behave again.

later edit
It seems after I close the browser and restart it, the problem is back.
Tried also without any Chrome extensions at all.
Tried on another computer to rule out a problem on mine and the same issue.

So I gues, bump?

Yeah, sounds like a bump is needed. I was gonna bump it yesterday but you posted a solution at the time. Have you opted to try another browser?

Thank you for the idea.
Tried Firefox portable version 93.0
No matter how many times I restarted the browser, all posters load without a hitch, while at the same time and from the same machine, Google Chrome does not display a lot of posters while searching.
Have to reiterate that the problem occurs only when searching and not when browsing libraries or selecting any particular media.
Chrome and Firefox short recording: 2browsers

This should fix some posters not showing and also when using the Plex search bar.

Paste this into Chrome: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Or in Chrome go to: Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data

Cookies and other site data” should already be checked, I also opted to check “Cached images and files

Just above “Browsing history” there’s “Time range”, the default is “Last hour” and that worked just fine for me, but you can adjust it if necessary.

Click “Clear data”, then go back to Plex tab in Chrome and refresh the page.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the input.
Unfortunatelly, the same thing happens on a fresh computer on separate network than mine, that has never visited my server or even plex.tv
Hoping it is related to the SSL cert issued by Plex via LetsEncrypt and I am waiting for the renewal.
