Plex Web would like to sign in to your Plex account

Server Version#: Synology DS218
Player Version#: 1.18.7.2457

I reset my router, and am now getting the error below when trying to open Plex.

I seem to have access from my app and Roku - but cannot access on the web. I have restarted my NAS and reinstalled Plex. Same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

that does not look like any error message we make. where is it showing? what URL are you using?

oh that is the top of the sign in page. Is there some reason you don’t want to sign in?

I would love to sign in - I used to be able to “Login by email” (or gmail, facebook) - and now it just immediately gives me that screen.

No matter the browser, I get that screen.

https://app.plex.tv/desktop

is where I am going to access…

This is what the full page looks like. so I I am guessing you are just not scrolling down or maybe an adblocker or something is hiding the buttons

Yessss… that’s what I want to see!

I am only seeing this:

I can’t seem to get to any of that for some reason…

Do you have and adblockers or DNS filter like OpenDNS? if you go to that URL on a different device (on or off your network like on smart phone on cellular) does it work?

If I go to the website on my phone, it looks as expected (with the login options)…

So something must have gotten messed up when I restarted my router. I’ve been using Plex for years, this is the first time I’ve seen this happen…

check if your router has some security settings that got turned on. like it may think the buttons are shaped like banner ads so is hiding them.

I would also try maybe changing DNS to Googles DNS https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns

I will check those things out and post my results later (family is halfway out the door to dinner)… Thanks so much for your help!!! I already feel slightly less frustrated.

I am having the exact same issue.

Addons disabled in Chrome, IE, and Firefox.
Cleared caches and cookies.2

No log in page.

Could this be another issue with the CDN again?

Thank you.

Don’t think it is a CDN issue else it would have probably not worked on his phone either.

What ISP do you have? Router model?

if you know how to look at the browsers console log from the page loading it might have info on why things are not loading like if there is a 401 or something

Been having the same problem in Chrome across all my devices that sync my profile (Linux and Windows). But it would work if I opened an Incognito Mode window. I use Popup Blocker for Chrome. Disable it and everything works again, so yes, it is a popup blocker issue, at least in my case.

I was also having the same issue, and turning off pop-up blockers and using incognito mode didn’t solve it… However I disabled DHCP on my router and it immediately solved the problem, so that might be worth trying as well.
