2.0.0
Happy Holidays! We've been working on a major upgrade to our web application over the last couple months and we're happy to finally release it to you. It can be accessed by going through our new website at https://plex.tv. Please note that the web application bundled with your media server will remain at 1.x until the 2.x build comes out of beta. We couldn't get all of the features from 1.x into 2.x for launch, but we will be working quickly to update 2.x over the next few weeks. Once 2.x comes out of beta, the bundled app and Chrome app will be automatically updated. One known issue that we are aware of is a limitation within Firefox. Some Firefox browsers seem to have issues with our ssl certificate and Firefox in general is stricter about mixed content requests, which means that remote servers won't be able to be accessed directly yet.
NEW:
- Updated look and feel.
- Improved dashboad layout.
- Added server-less capabilities.
- Faster, more flexibile browsing.
- Added an experimental player setting, which allows DASH transcoding in supported browsers (this uses our new html video player instead of Flash).
- Added Chromecast support (you must install the Google Cast browser extension to use this).
- Added companion app capabilities.
- Lots lots more, but it would take forever to list out every change here.
2.0.1
This is a minor bug fix follow-up to the 2.0.0 release. For more details about the 2.x web app, please read the 2.0.0 announcement.
NEW:
(none)

- Fixed error when connecting to certain remote players.
- Fixed certain subsets not being limited to 200 items.
- Fixed a bug when scanning sections.
- Fixed a bug when filtering devices with a language other than English.
2.0.2
The Fix Incorrect Match modal has found its way back into the new 2.x app. We've also fixed a number of bugs and switched the page to be served over http. All communication with plex.tv still uses https, but communication with servers uses http. This fixes a number of issues related to https and DNS. If you were using Firefox and found that you couldn't connect to your server, please try again with this version. If you were using DD-WRT router software, you shouldn't be having DNS issues any longer.
NEW:
- Added the Fix Incorrect Match modal.
- Allow the hosted app to be served over http and redirect if authorization is needed.
FIXES:
- Fixed a bug causing the trash icon to not show up for deleted items.
- Fixed images not resetting properly when unmatching an item.
- Fixed html entities in Chromecast player names.
- Fixed password fields in channel settings displaying as regular text fields.
- Fixed hiding the volume slider in the video player controls when the volume can't be controlled.

We've also added support for a Duplicates filter, but this depends on something in Plex Media Server that hasn't been released yet, so you'll need to be patient and wait for the next media server release before that filter shows up.
