Plex WebOS App: "please check the console's network connection" all the time during playback

Hello,

I think it started with the last plex for lg app update.
I get the message “please check the console’s network connection” very often during playback.
Usually 3 times in a 5 second period, then i can watch again for 15-25min and then it happens again.

This is very annoying. Restarting the TV sometimes fixes it, but only temporarily.

The network connection is fine. I also activated unsecure connections but it didnt help.
Is there anything on my side i can do to get rid of this or do i have to wait for an update?

Direct. No transcoding

can you play your movie on the mobile app or in the web player?

Yes thats working just fine. So its either a plex lg app problem or a problem with the TV itself i guess

Do you have your Server LAN IP address reserved in Router. A good DNS on LG like 1.1.1.1 may also help.

I think i found the solution. It was the screen share of the TV that crippled wifi. After turning listing mode off plex runs smooth again

Getting the exact same issue on a Samsung TV…I tried many formats, even low res files and still the same message popping up every 10-20 minutes. Playing anything on my laptop in HD and now issue so it does not appear to be network related…Anyone else getting this error message?

Did you check your TVs wifi speed? My TV had only 2 Mbits from time to time. Do a speedtest with the TV browser. So you can check if its TV related or plex related.
