OK, got it. Wasn’t sure which part of the process had the issues. I’ll try it now and report back. 
Still having issues in Australia, original chromecast it tries to load with a small spinning wheel which eventually times out before return to the chromecast screensaver

I have several Google Chromecast and other devices that I can cast to, but the new experience just says “No devices found”

@slayer3210 The new experience also can’t cast unless you connect to a device first and the hit play. Shuffling breaks it. I’ve already made another thread. They need to stop trying to “fix” things that aren’t broken and actually fix the things that are.

Just recieved the new app interface today but casting from Plex results in the screen turning green. I can hear the audio, but the image is useless. Casting from other apps works without issue.

I have this issue since the new layout came out (Android), but so far I have managed it by disabling auto update on the Plex app and rolled back with re-install when was needed.. but I got a “new spare phone” last weekend, and forgot to disable auto update, and last night it did update to 2025.14 version and since I can’t reinstall just the same version, and have the same “No Devices Found”.. I believe it doesn’t even look for a device as it is way too quick to pop up.. I have couple Chromecast Gen 2, and all works from other apps like youtube or netflix or Disney+ or Google TV…
I tried on multiple Wifi link over, and I can always ping the chromecast and see it online on Google Home.. but Plex just doesn’t like.. at the same time my misses Plex that hasn’t been updated still works just fine…
Any solutions?

I’m having the same problem, but I don’t have pihole in my network, I’m using adguard, that doesn’t seems to have similar configs.
At the moment, to be able to cast I need to open Plex via web with Chrome, luckily I have an ssl certificate on my server

I like how we can blame Google for it, but old versions of the app work perfectly fine
Which only proves it’s Plex changing protocols for ABSOLUTELY 0 REASON. I can’t believe that a company would destroy their own software at nearly every aspect for 0 reason like this. Functionality, design, UX, everything. And for what? So a few creative directors and devs can justify that they still need to have jobs?
Same here! I have Chromecast and ever since I got the new (Android) app update I have been unable to connect to my Chromecast.
It just sits and spins then after a while the connecting window goes away and it stops trying to connect. No error. All the other apps on my phone work as expected when casting
