Help
All working good until yesterday, added Expedition X using recommended naming convention, then Scan Library Files, the show popped up for a moment then just vanished, tried all the usual tips and tricks but no joy.

File structure as below :

Expedition X
** - Series 01**
** - Expedition X - 1x01 - Mothman Phenomenon.mkv**

I also checked the database and the show is listed:

êf1413612d69077d8c2ef1ebdd5ad5e06b62526f43e013665088defdc/mnt/MyCloud/Videos/TV/Expedition X (2020)/Series 01/Expedition X - 1x01 - Mothman Phenomenon.mkv;O[8&p½2020-02-14 07:31:262020-02-14 07:31:26ma%3AaudioProfile=he-aac&ma%3Acontainer=mkv&ma%3AvideoProfile=high&pv%3Achapters=%7B%22Chapters%22%3A%7B%7D%7D

Also checked permissions on Ubuntu - all directories are 755

Just to check, I added another show and that was picked up OK, so it appears it is an issue with just Expedition X

…any suggestions?

I have actually tried both formats
1x01
S01E01

No joy with either same story shows up the vanishes

Per the naming guidelines, seasons should be in sub-directories named “Season XX.”

Be sure to use the English word “Season” when creating season directories, even if your content is in another language.

I’d like to think that they included support for “Series” as well, but since they specifically documented it as needing to be “Season” you may want to try that.

I created a test. Nothing is being returned by TVDB.
It shows on their web page but not on the backend

I have found that it does not matter whether it is season or series - both work fine in Plex, in fact I have a mixture of both depending on the show and how I feel when adding a new folder

That must be the answer then - because I also have Emby to collect metadata and Expedition X shows up fine in that.

Hopefully the TVDB will fix the issue

I just did a test with this structure on my Linux PMS test server:

TV/
     Expedition X/
          Series 01/
               Expedition X - S01E01 - Mothman Phenomenon.mkv

It was matched immediately:

I have TheTVDB set as the agent for my TV library, so it appears to be pulling from them OK.

Also, ignore that episode poster. It’s scraping the file I used to test, which is a renamed episode of Dexter.

I have been doing some tests as well and surprisingly my Windows server picks it up OK - but not my Ubuntu server, as I said previously it picked up another show immediately

This is weird

Which version of PMS is in use?

If 1.18.3 or lower, TVDB’s api will now fail you.

They dropped API v2 support as of Jan 31.

Any part of this linux installation originate on a Windows system?
(migrated it from Windows -> Linux)

No - stand alone Ubuntu Web Server (Ubuntu Linux 18.04.1), all packages up to date.
All other titles on the NAS show up fine in Plex, it’s just this one show

It shows in windows but not in Linux?

If true, May I have the logs ZIP from both systems please?

I’ll extract the info and go directly to the the metadata team.

Sounds fair

http://tastiger.dhs.org/downloads/plex-logs.zip

Both in the same zip file

Good Luck! and Thanks!

related to @ Match Failures ?

It’s not showing up at all - so can’t even try to fix match

it shows up for me, albeit unmatched.
