Hi. I have an issue which is driving me crazy as I can’t figure out what I need to do to fix it. We have a Samsung Series 9 smart TV, the Plex app is installed on both my phone and my wife’s (mine is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, my my wife’s phone a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge). Plex was working great and we were able to cast Plex direct to our tv from either phone - in the past we used to cast to a Chromecast dongle but with the new TV the Chromecast was not required. Now however, and I am unsure why, Plex won’t recognise the TV for casting from my wife’s phone. It recognises our other devices but not the Series 9 TV. It used to, and mine still does, however my wife’s phone does not. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Plex without any luck, the phone’s up to date with system updates, etc. and it can Smart View (screen mirroring) no problems at all - it’s just this ‘Connect to device’ feature which can’t discover the TV.
What do I need to do?
