Plex was working great yesterday. Today it tells me there’s an update. So I update.
Now Fire TV acts like Plex isn’t installed. I go to Amazon and it says it just sent Plex to my TV but it is nowhere.
I updated the Plex server. I cannot get Fire TV to recognize Plex.
Plex says “Open.” When I press on “Open” it does a circle back to “Open.” Round and round.
Please help me get it running again. Thank you
I am definitely having issues with my Firestick 4k. My symptoms are a little different, but my fix seems to be rebooting the Firestick.
I rebooted fire stick twice. Along with YouTube and Tubi there is the Plex app showing. But when I click on the Plex app it says “open” I click on open and it rolls around and says “open” again and just keeps repeating that. It looks like it’s not installed. But when I go to Amazon it says that it delivers it and it should show up any minute but it never does. I went to uninstall it through Amazon fire stick and it’s not showing that it’s even installed. Thank you for your help
I’ve pretty much exhausted my expertise already. Sorry I’m not more help. Can you access Plex through other devices? Does your Fire work for streaming other things not on Plex?
When you open Plex on the Firestick, did it give you options for people to log in or did it crash before that? For me, it only gave me myself, none of my managed users were an option. Then it seemed normal until I tried to play something. Just buffering. This happened three or four times this week. Today it has been ok so far.
Initially, when downloading this app, there was no issue. It’s just the updates - it keeps saying “update” then “open,” and it doesn’t open. It’s a loop of update>open>repeat. And the app is not listed in my installed apps.
