I have my files all in the correct organization according to the documentation from plex. Just a media folder in my home directory then within that a music, movies and tv shows folder. But for some reason Plex refuses to find some music in my music folder. I think its probably because the albums that it cannot find are downloaded from bandcamp and are small artists that are not in whatever database plex uses for music metadata. I just need them to just show up in the first place so i can add the data myself if needed… I made sure the file name and structure was exactly as shown in the documentation from plex name (artist - album name/01 - song name) still nothing.
MP3Tag is a Windows app. Puddletag is a very similar Linux app.
The ‘Use embedded tags’ feature is only one of the steps needed to get Plex to use embedded tags.
