Proper Tagging: Music tracks not showing up in Plex

I added some MP3s to my library that were not tagged properly (at all). They didn’t show up after the scan. I edited the tags in these files with a tagging software EasyTag for Linux. I ensured Artist, Song, and Album were included. Plex is still not showing these files in the library.

My agents for both Artists and Album have Local Media Assets first and my library has “prefer local Metadata” checked off.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how Plex can recognize these files?

Start with verifying file access permissions. This is Linux after all. :wink:

File permissions are all good.

Is the media structured as Plex expects?

Artist/
   Album/
     Disc N/    <- this is only beneficial with multi-disc albums
