I updated this morning to the most recent Plex version available from Freshports.
But now my Plex service won’t start. I need some assistance getting it up and running. I’m not sure where to find the logs.
I could not get plex to work on my synology servers after the latest update either i have since uninstalled the last update and installed the previous version and thing are back to working order again
Yeah I can’t quite figure out how to install directly. I usually have used an upgrade command via a shell on my FreeNAS server. I’ve been googling it all afternoon.
To downgrade on FreeBSD based servers, find the previous version in the “pkg cache dir” -> /var/cache/pkg
Then:
pkg remove plexmediaserver
pkg install PATH_TO_THE_TXZ (the one you want to go back to and is still in the cache dir)
If you’re using the -plexpass flavour please adapt the cmds accordingly.
