I have been trying to update plex for quite a while and I cannot get it to update I have tried everything, currently after I use the commands to update it through the shell it says I have the current version but when I go to the server web interface it tells me im still on an older version, tried signing out and back in in the general are and still not working.Plex Media Server Logs_2019-10-20_01-38-20.zip (2.0 MB)
after months of trying and posting this I found this
Open the shell
Type: jls and find the JID that matches your jail hostname.
Type: jexec (the JID number) csh
Type: pkg update && pkg upgrade
after update finishes
Type: pkg install plexmediaserver
or if your in the jail use this
Type: pkg update && pkg upgrade
after update finishes
Type: pkg install plexmediaserver
restart the jail log back in, although when I did this it looked like my server had to start at the beginning again it took a few seconds and was back up and running without having to do the setup again.
