Been using plex for about a year or so, i have a paid plex pass and use PMS, PHT on my htpc and the apps on android and ipad.
All was running fine but the other day PMS said i needed to claim the server and was asking me to login, but it wont let me. Asks to install PMS but again it wont let me. I tried uninstalling and reinstall but does the same thing. Turned off all antivirus and firewall and again same thing.
I try and claim it and it says that it cannot sign in to plex, yet when I check the ‘head’ in the top right it says im signed it. I try and claim it again and says that I cannot claim and to sign in.

Havent seen this before.
Reviewing your account, I see that there is a server correctly associated with your account and that it was used recently. Did this clear up for you already? If not, I’m not sure what is going on. Maybe check the browser’s developer console and see if there are errors when trying to claim the server.
I have the same issue. I can’t log in to reclaim my server. I tried changing my password, but still doesn’t work. Can you please reclaim my server back to my account?

I would love to help, unfortunately, we have no control over your server. If you believe you are locked out of your server, try following the steps in this support article to clear the login info for your server. This should allow you to reclaim it.
Just a note to say I had the same issue tonight. I signed out in the local PMS server and had a dickens of a time getting it signed back in. It took several tries. It did finally sign in though.
Add me to the list of people having this. It’s inconsistent. Other than disabling/enabling, I’ve not tried anything else. It just comes up and drops all on its own.
I had the same issue and this link resolved all of my problems. And do what it says if you’re using a Mac with Yosemite or higher (restart the Mac). I took control of my server again when I clicked the “Claim server” button. Hope this helps.
I am having this same problem on my flex server. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and its still not letting me claim my server. I tells me to sign in and they says sign in failed then in the top right it show me signed in. Also, I am running my flex server on ubuntu. Any help would be appreciated.
@astrofisher I still didnt get anywhere I fixed my network settings, I am connected via ethernet and made sure i could access the plex port 32400 outside of my network. I have uninstalled and reinstalled plex on my ubuntu machine but i keep getting the same exact errors that @cleancutryan was getting.
@astrofisher I got it to work just now. I noticed the time on my ubuntu machine was off. I corrected that then I rebooted my router then rebooted my ubuntu machine, and i was able to claim my server.
I am logged in but am seeing a similar message under the general server settings “This server is unclaimed and not secure”. When I click the button “Claim Server” nothing happens. I am also seeing the message " Version 1.13.8.5395 An update is available. [Please install manually.]", however I just barely installed the most recent version.
Something is happening and my Synology device is not communicating properly with Plex…
UPDATE: Plex did log me out when I clicked “Claim Server” but then gave me an error telling there was an error logging in…
Other Random note, when I log in to Plex through my NAS I see my PMS, when I logout and login by navigating directly to my Plex account I get an error and it cannot find my NAS server…
