Plex won't start - 'error' message pop-up

Migrated my server to a Beelink S12 Pro Mini PC. Migration was successful and working for about two days until I starting getting a pop-up ‘Error’ message. Tried reinstalling and using different installers but still have the same issue

Can you post your server logs?

No logs from today, I have the logs from the fresh install on 19 October, but they don’t indicate any errors

Such an error message is typical if Plex server is looking for its Plex data folder in a non-default location, but this location doesn’t exist (anymore).
If you changed the location to an external drive, this drive is now either absent or has changed its drive letter.

Found the cause and solution - Registry was causing the issue, specifically the registry entry I copied across as per the guide. As you said, the new install was attempting to load a database at the old location. What is perplexing though is that it worked fine for 48 hours before encountering this issue

You may have started Plex server under a different Windows user account before. As you may have noticed, the registry data are in the USERS branch, and are therefore unique to each Windows user. If you imported the registry backup from the old machine while being logged into a different Windows account, it would only affect Plex while its running in this specific Windows account.
