Plexamp 168CD compilation error

Server Version#:
Player Version#: plexamp android 4.6.1

I have The Ultimate Jazz Archive on my Plex server, running on a raspi 4 8gb, the compilation is 168 CD’s. When trying to view or play over Plexamp it hangs, on desktop or Plex media player for android it’s fine, any ideas?

Post some Plexamp logs and we’ll have lots of ideas

Would you like the individual logs or the zip files?

Hmm, I don’t see an explicit play of the item. Please force quit the app, start it up, play the album, and then post logs.

Here we go

Also thanks for your time and effort

I’m seeing 15 distinct plays in that log; lots of tracks starting to play in short amount of time.

Looks like 3 plays of that album, which all get a play queue in a few hundred milliseconds.

Notting obviously wrong. I’m afraid I’d need more details or explanation to help.

I’m guessing something has been done, it loads, albiet slowly, and is slow to respond. Which is better than it originally hanging completely. I can easily accept it running slowly, it took me a long time to categorize, and rip the CD’s so it can only be expected for the size, that it will take time to recall data from the database. But I can make a screen recording if you’re still interested in looking in to this. You are all doing a fantastic job with the software, and don’t want to bog you down with trivial matters.

You can also try optimizing the database.

You’re in a bit of an uncanny place where you’ve got slow server hardware (by comparison) and a giant album, so not an optimal combo.

I have accepted this as being the likely case, but when using plex web, or plex for android, its not the case, which indicates that plexamp is the struggling somewhere.
I manually optimise the database every time I add something, and its also setup in weekly maintenance, but will happily give it another shot.

I’d take a screen recording + log, it was hard for me to see anything slow in the last set of logs.
