Hey, I’ve got Shanling M3 Ultra player with Android 10 and latest apps - Plexamp 4.6.3 and Plex 9.17.0.28861.
Unfortunately, both Plexamp and Plex Mobile apps can’t play music on it. I thought that it’s just broken player, but no - music from other sources plays well and even movies via Plex are having sound.
Is it the same issue that the person in this thread had, but with more new
So I managed to crack the system - using the YouTube Music app start the playing sequence, then player shows that I have 44.1 kHz audio, and then change the app to Plex/Plexamp - then music is played by both players.
When I try to start the music from Plex\Plexamp only - it shows that I’m trying to play 48 kHz music (none of the files I tried to play have 48 kHz)
I am also using Plexamp version 4.63 on my M3 Ultra and having the same issue: no music. Well, no music through wired earbuds! Sometimes, just after a reboot, when I toggle the setting for High/Low gain the music suddenly starts. But only for a few seconds and it stops again and further twiddling doesn’t bring it back.
Strangely, though, if I unplug my earphones and use wireless earbuds instead of wired ones, the music plays all the time. But careful listening reveals distortion.
Same for me on the Shanling M6 Ultra. Music starts playing and then suddenly stops. Switching the gain level brings back sound, but not for long. I tried older versions of Plexamp down to 4.0 with the same result.
I’m having the same problem. I just purchased the M6 ultra and now can’t use Plexamp! Very frustrating, wish I would have seen this post before purchasing…
So I updated the player to v1.16 and the problem’s gone. If you are experiencing this problem and have M3 Ultra and/or higher versions - try the last update (it’s up for most of them now).
