Can someone explain why Plexamp App on IOS cannot see or target Airplay speakers?
The app can see Chromecast targets, Sonos targets, but no Airplay at all.
Is this normal / expected, or is there some configuration that needs to happen? I am on version 4.7.0 btw.
I also use Tidal through Plexamp as well as the native Tidal IOS app, and I can address Airplay & Bluetooth targets with the native app, so I am a bit confused.
Are you sure you’re looking in the right place? System AirPlay panel works, or tap the AirPlay icon in the Plexamp cast list (or long press the cast button to jump right there).
Ahh…I expected the Airplay speakers to be part of the list…but I neglected to see the little Airplay icon to the right of “This Device”. Tapping that will open up the Airplay devices…thanks!

Is there a technical or otherwise reason why the same Airplay icon does not appear on the Plexamp MacOS app? In there, I only seem to be able to list Sonos & Chromecast devices…
Use system AirPlay for that, we don’t have support for per-app AirPlay on macOS.
I was afraid of hearing that. Seems that’s the same for all 3rd party music apps. Shame on Apple… Thank you !
