Plexamp - Any plans for exclusive mode for Windows 10 to be added?

I was just wondering if there had been any progress on this? I know it’s been mentioned a few times before on here. It would be really good as the older Plexamp had it and it does seem to partly target audiophiles, that are the people who would really want this feature.

No current plans, it’s a pretty big can of worms.

bummer! what about passthrough? i’m keen to avoid audio processing by windows when plexamp sends audio to my DAC…

So:

Plex for Windows: Exclusive Mode YES Gapless NO

Plexamp for Windows: Exclusive Mode NO Gapless YES

Tip: this should disable the majority of processing

Of course disable the “Spatial Sound” as well and set the volume and balance to default positions.

Thanks @OttoKerner. The ‘enhancements’ tab doesn’t come up for me. I’m on a dell laptop with realtek hardware and that has maxxaudio installed… i’m not sure where all those things insert themselves in the processing chain… i’ve tried to turn off everything i can…

I assume this is a psychoacoustic processing to make those puny laptop speakers sound “larger”. I have no idea if it is also active when using an external DAC.
It shouldn’t, though.
The external DAC should appear in the left list as an additional sound interface. With its own, individual properties.

Here is a screenshot from my desktop with several sound interfaces connected.
Each of these has its own properties which are independent from the others.
The contents of the “Enhancements” tab might be highly dependent on the driver software of your sound interface.

Hope is clear that all this does not replace the “bit-perfect” right?
