Plexamp Desktop Casting

Would it be possible to add full casting support to Plexamp Desktop, using either the same open source code or something similar to what VLC Media Player uses to support casting?

VLC Media Player is able to cast to a full set of Google cast-enabled devices (smart speakers, smart displays, etc.) as selected through its Playback->Renderer menu.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
