Very much like where this started and where it seems to be going.
On the Windows side, can the installer be set to allow for selecting installation location such as a driver other than C or custom path? I realize that you are leveraging Squirrel for the installer, however, not everyone installs everything to the same location as where the OS is installed. It would be nice to have some control.
If the Plex server changes IP or dns name the app is pretty much unusable. While the settings have a large number of options, relinking or entering in IP or server name is not there. The only option is uninstall re-install, which is problematic.
Why is there no graceful way to exit the application? On more than 1 occasion a taskbar level close results in Windows believing there was an error or application crash.
Again - I like the app and hope it continues to be more and more.
Sorry for the delay on item 1. Long winded response doesn’t help either so sorry.
Plex server on Ubuntu VM with multiple interfaces on multiple networks. Network interface A was default, Network interface B was for devices not able to talk to Network A. Network interface C was added as new default (redefining network topology for lab space). Local server resolution works from web browser across each and every interface and the app.plex.tv resolution will work, however client was on Network A and previously connected to Network Interface A is moved to Network C and C is not able to get to A then the application does not update for C. My guess is A is stored and on connection with app.plex.tv this is confirmed, however this is not a network route that works internally. Hence the settings request. I realize this is not a traditional setup, but I can fix this on my own if I have a way to fix it on my own. Also, squirrel should die.
Coming up on 7 years with Plex and still a big fan so please just count this as constructive observation!
