PlexAmp home screen not loading on Android

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639
Player Version#: 4.9.4

I’m running PlexAmp on a Google Pixel 7, and about a week ago the home screen started refusing to load content (I just see the loading spinner).

All the other tabs in PlexAmp work fine. The Android Plex app and Plex Dash apps also work properly, as do my iOS and Mac clients.

PlexAmp logfile attached.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have to be honest, this is very mysterious. I’m seeing an error show up in your logs: Row too big to fit into CursorWindow which seems to imply that the initial load of the home screen from “disk” failed because it was too large.

I’m adding a safety check for the next release so that doesn’t hold things up, but in the meantime, you might want to try clearing app data if possible. Also curious if you have any idea why your home screen data might be that large.

I cleared the cache (625MB) and force quit the app - no luck. Then i cleared the app data (27MB), force quit the app, re-authenticated and the home screen content loaded!

Given the relative sizes, i would have figured the cache size would have been the problem. To your “why” question, I have a large music library - 11,834 albums and 213,859 tracks.

Thank you Elan for the quick response. I love Plex and rely on it for both my music and video libraries. And PlexAmp is the best music player going - keep up the good work!

PS - I assume you sanitize the logfiles to remove any sensitive data (usernames, IP addresses etc) right?

We don’t have tokens in there, but you can see IPs. Feel free to delete now that we have the data.

That might be related, but I have a fairly large library too (5k albums) and haven’t run into this. Have you done any home screen customization?

Elan - sorry for the delayed response, but no I have not customized the home screen.
