Plexamp Not loading Home Screen or Refreshing Progress of Songs

Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#: 4.6.0

Hi Plex Team & Community,

My Plexamp Recently updated (About a week ago) from the Google Play Store and ever since then, my home screen will not load up no matter what I try and do. Further to that, when I play songs the first song remains on the screen (Music artwork and the name of the song) but it does shift to the next song, but the minutes just keep rolling over, but the song title, the time remaining or the artwork never changes.

I have to force stop the app to force a refresh, but as soon as the first song plays, the home screen stops loading, then the song refresh or follow on does not work again.

Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting steps taken.

  1. Force stop the app (Temporary fix does not last long)
  2. Delete data and wipe cache (Sam as above)
  3. Remove the app and go through the signup process again (Same as above)

I just cannot get it to work not matter what I try and do, this problem happened nearly almost 2 years ago, but then a quick update release fixed it after the last update screwed it, I am wondering if the same bug has been introduced again in the most recent update?

I am using the Samsung Fold 4, it is fully updated and I have cleaned the cache on it multiple times. The normal Plex for Android has not problem at all, but the problem is that wont work with Android Auto so I have to use Plexamp.

Is anyone else seeing this issue, I am assuming not because I cannot find another post or I just do not know how to use the search function properly.

Would love some feedback on resolving this if possible.

Screen shot has been supplied of what the screen looks like, this is all I can capture that might make sense.

Cheers,

David.

4.6.1 is rolling out with bug fixes. Try updating if you can, report back with logs if it doesn’t fix it.

Thank you!

Just did the update and the home screen started loading up, hopefully this resolves that bug

Will report back if the issue is still persistent.
