PLexamp Loudness Leveling Bug?

Hio,
I came across this odd behavior and just wanted to note it in case it’s indicative of a bug the devs need to take a look at. Every once and a while I will come across a song while browsing Tidal music via the Plexamp app, that completely blasts my ears with loud static and clipping. (Think max volume with the gain turned up way too far on ■■■■■■ speakers). This has only happened twice or so in 6 months, but the effected songs sound the same on all platforms (linux, android, windows) so I’m doubtful that its related to hardware or anything specific to me aside form my account. As I write this, the song “How Do You Love Somebody” by “Why Don’t We” is having this behavior for me.

The issue was not present while accessing tidal music form the standard plex app or tidal app. (android) And after digging around I found that it resolved when I disabled Loudness Leveling.
It’s not a major concern for me currently because this one song seems to be the only one affected right now, but I was more puzzled than anything and was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

There are some times when TIDAL hasn’t analyzed for loudness yet. We’re going to set a default -9 dB leveling for those cases so we don’t deafen you.
