Plexamp - missing track names after server lost connection to NAS

Apologies in advance because I’ve tried to upload logs but it’s not letting me do it from the mobile web browser.

EDIT https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U2_giniVKgQrJqYmeNTfDhDmbeIVZhjd/view?usp=drivesdk

My server lost power recently and when it rebooted it came online before my NAS, meaning all the files could not be found. This persisted even after the drives were mounted, so I shut down the container and used the opportunity to update the Plex server. After restarting everything appeared OK from the web, but Plexamp now does not show track names for any tracks that are relying on local metadata and not matched. See screenshot.

The tracks look fine on the web and Plex app, and play fine even on Plexamp.

I’ve tried killing off the app, clearing cache etc. To be clear this is on Android 15 with Plexamp up to date according to Play Store.

Looking for a solution that doesn’t involve me having to delete the app and reinstall again… I’ve got downloads I’d rather not have to redownload.

As an aside, force stopping the app and clearing cache doesn’t seem to do much, looks like not much is actually using the cache and maybe it’s dealt with by the server? E.g. app will reopen exactly on the page it was left when it was force closed…

Help appreciated.

The blank titles indicate that the titles are blank, but the sort titles aren’t; you can confirm that in the web app. It usually indicates bad tags in the file and a “prefer local metadata” enabled.

Running a “refresh metadata” on the artist page has fixed it :grinning:

The library is using “prefer local metadata” because a lot of the files are not proper releases that would exist on the database. There’s also not currently any way to change something from an album to e.g. single/EP within the Plex interface either, so I ended up manually editing everything with Picard.

The tags are fine in the files, I know because I manually populated them and they’ve been working fine until now. Something must have got mixed up when the files were no longer available and it took a refresh to get it sorted. No big deal I should probably have remembered that was an option before I came posting here!

Thanks for your help, and for a great product. I saw in another thread that there’s a fix now/soon for that Android Auto bug where it only shows “Downloads”, that’s great news!
