You can select up to 320kbps or Maximum. I would like to Direct Play 16-bit 44.1k FLAC but I do not want to Direct Play anything above that. In some locations I think I might get in trouble on Wi-Fi for Direct Playing my 24-bit 96k FLAC. So I am forced to select 320kbps. Also, that is overkill for my phone. I don’t carry around a portable amp and a pair of $300+ planars to work… I mean I would like too.

By your own admission, you don’t carry about high-tech speakers so what makes you think anything above 320kbps running on your phone is going have a noticeable difference?
I said “$300+ planars” I never said I didn’t carry something that couldn’t take advantage of regular FLAC. I usually carry around an EarStudio ES100 and some IEMs. Usually KZ ZS10 Pro, but I am thinking about getting some linsoul tin hifi p1.
