My plexamp app on my phone no longer connects via a remote network. Remote access is turned on and I tried setting up an firewall rule to let the traffic through as seen on the support documents and none of that has worked. Anyone have any other ideas what I can check to get it working again?
I suppose this is not specific to Plexamp but a general issue with your remote access setup?
For remote access to work you don’t need to open your firewall… it’s more about the port forwarding (automatic/UPnP or manual).
When you write about the support documents – are you referring to the remote access troubleshooting?
Well looks like the issue resolved itself after I rebooted everything after following the Troubleshooting document. Thanks for the help!
