Plexamp "unable to load data" keeps losing connection

I’ve got my plex server setup on my desktop. It works ok - most of the time. I found out about Plexamp a while ago (over 6 months ago?). It worked great until the last week or two.

Now I constantly lose connection to the server. I log onto my server remotely - and it says Remote access is enabled, and working, yet I can’t access it from my phone.

almost certainly a port mapping or other network issue. unfortunately hard to diagnose without being there.

I guess I don’t understand - as I didn’t change any settings, and it had been working for a long time?

Where is the port mapping set - sorry for the stupid question. Is this a windows level mapping, or a Plex setting?

a few things are involved.

  1. router
  2. plex media server configuring the router (if not manual)
  3. internal network (double nat, etc)

check the remote access page in the web app’s server configuration.
