@aubrey.wodonga So I have a few things to add. I recently upgraded one of my monitors, so I am now running two 4k monitors as opposed to mismatched resolution screens from before. If I set them to the same DPI I do not have the problem. However, because one of my screens is smaller, I increase the DPI setting of the smaller screen to 175% and my larger main is at the recommended value of 150%. With this setting the problem of the shrinking plex returns when it is opened and closed on my 2nd monitor⦠that is until the latest update. Now it gets bigger every time I open and close it
P.S. I will still happily get on a screen share with anyone on your team to show this issue. I can replicate it 100% of the time every time.
I just read @ShadeRFās post and will try what he did as well and report back as I also have different DPIs on the computers that this is happening on.
Okay, I just confirmed what @ShadeRF reported, and can reproduce the problem. If all the monitors are at the same scale, the window size does not change after closing and re-opening. However, Plexamp seems to resize based upon the difference in scale between the main monitor and the monitor it opens on. For instance, my main monitor in this setup is my laptop monitor, which is a 2k monitor normally set to a scale of 150% (the recommended setting). I have Plexamp on a secondary monitor (this is a three monitor setup) that is an HD monitor with scale set to 100% (the recommended setting). If I set the 2k monitor (my main monitor, or monitor 1) to 100%, Plexamp doesnāt resize. Setting it to the normal 150% reduces the size (by probably close to half) and setting the main montior to 100% and the Plexamp monitor (monitor 2) to 125% increases the size of Plexamp every time it opens (by what appears to be 25%, though this is just and estimate).
So it looks like the mismatch of monitor scaling is whatās causing the issue. Hope that helps, and Iām happy to do any other experimentation you recommend.
The latest release has rewritten the logic around window state restoration:
Iām not 100% certain that this will fix the issue, but it adds additional logging, and simplifies the code significantly, so if itās not resolved, weāre a step closer to fixing it at least.
Same here, shrinking on the monitor with the smaller scaling. It did actually open up on my default monitor after updating, and held the same size, but when moving it back to the monitor I use it on and resizing it, closed it and reopened it and it was small.
