Plexamp not playing music, Plex app not playing some music

Player Version#: PlexAmp 3.5.0

I can launch Plexamp on my wife’s iPhone 11 with no problem. Signs in no problem. I see everything on my Plex Server. When I select the song and/or press play it launches the screen where it would presumably have the song playing but then closes it immediately and then tries to play the next song and so on. It will run through an album in seconds with nothing played.

The Plex app itself will play some songs, and then stop on others.

I can play everything with no problems on my iPhone 12, and on other systems.

As you are on 1.23.6.x, you are seeing the affects of

(Downloads) Download access now enforced on the server via shared user settings (#12859)

For you wife to continue to use PlexAmp you will have to enable ALLOW DOWNLOADS for her account under

Settings → Users & Sharing → Select her account and then → Restrictions

When you mark it for “able to download”, will it download all the songs played onto the phone or ipad, or just while it is playing? Don’t want to load up the phone or ipad with media and run out of room.

I believe that it will only play the media. Small file sized songs would play in the Plex app, but not large sized ones. Now they all seem to play normally and I don’t see the available space decreasing drastically.
