Hi,
I use plexamp ran from my shield 2019 pro.
The media server did an update and now I cannot access my library from outside my home WiFi network.
I have rebooted my router, my shield, and cycled remotes access, and also cycled the media server within the old app on the shield?
Is this specifically only Plexamp or are other Plex client types also affected?
Hi thanks for the reply. Just checked and it’s also affecting the Plex amp, but don’t know the status of this prior to the server update, as never use it.
I have downloaded some logs, but can’t see how to attach them from here?

Sorry yes, it’s also affecting the regular Plex app, was what I meant to say. Sorry. Plexamp is my concern

The release time is outside of Plex’s hands. It is up to Google when they are making it available. Usually they do it in waves, so that not every device in the world tries to update at the same time.
The remote connection being dropped after an upgrade of the server may or may not be connected to the fix for the nVidia Shield that is mentioned in the release notes.

I hope it is cured. If I had Plex pass, would this make any difference to this concern or how it is handled? I have been toying with purchasing when there is an offer on, but previously I haven’t seen the benefits I would make use of.

Do you know the version number of the previous full release of the shield media server, so I can investigate myself?

I don’t know that. I only know that there were some issue with the builds for the Shield, so that these releases were recently much less frequent than for the other platforms.

Just be patient and wait for the release to come through. Should be sometime today in my experience.
