Plexamp not working with soundsource & UAD

Hi all,

I use plexamp as my main music player, desktop & smartphone, and I love it.
On thing thought that I never managed to fix is that on my macbook pro (MacOS Catalina 10.15.7), I use 2 very useful other software:

  1. Soundsource by Rogue Amobea: a useful soft that centralized all your audio app so you can manage volume level as well as output device setup.

  2. UAD console: I use Universal Audio as my audio interface and they have a soft called ‘Console’ that enables to manage the audio interface input (mic, guitar …) but they also offer a great feature that essentially offers virtual output, so for example you can route your system audio through it and you can therefore manage volume from there, add plugin inserts…

Plexamp doesn’t seem to work with these 2 softwares and I wonder why, when plexamp plays I can hear the sound through my speaker, but not metering happens both in soundsource nor in the virtual channel of UAD Console.

Is Plexamp built in a particular way that it is not recognized by third party software?
Any Idea?

I think we just play by default to the system output. In the future we’ll allow picking a specific output device.

Awesome, I think that should enable what I’m trying to do.
Thanks!
