frustrating experience trying to get PlexAMP to work consistently/reliably. things like (all in airplane mode with playlists previously downloaded)
first song confusion
i go to play list, say play, it displays the name of the first song but plays the second song. i skip to what should be the second song and plays/displays third song. i skip back and it will play/display second song. in this case i skip back to first song and have wheel of death briefly then second song play while graphic indicates first song info. see this on multiple of my playlists so not such a corner case issue.
wheel of death/dead air
not seeign it at the moment but when i start a playlist all is well then at some random point, dead air. i believe it eventually picks up and plays again but not certain. seems stuck trying to play something?
playlists incomplete in offline mode.
i create and download playlist. i later added to it. PMS shows it correctly having 8+ hours of music. Plexamp when online, sees it as a 9 hour playlist. when i choose download (slider at 9 hour mark) it says files already downloaded. i go do downloaded music and it tells me that same playlist has only 5 hours of music.
any help/insights would be appreciated. i find offline mode a critical use case.
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble, I’m not aware of the first two issues, so we’d need more details to understand why you might be running into them. The third issue should be fixed in the next release (adding to a downloaded playlist after downloading).
Just to clarify, are you playing the downloaded items out of the Downloads tab in scenarios (1) and (2)?
Please post debug logs from the app after either of those first two things happen.
here ya go. let me know if you need more info. this is the first song confusion issue. the other wheel of death issue is less frequent and i havent seen it since the original post.
yes i’m always operating out of downloads tab. but i have to wonder if it would be better and more reliable if you offered an offline mode. download tab is easy to forget.
Correct - not what happened. Ace of base is song #1 but I’m unable to play it. I’m wondering if the ‘song pointer’ is on the last second of the song so it ‘plays’ but not really or something if that nature. I just did it again to verify that it displays the ace of base graphic but plays song 2 Duran Duran
I just verified one other curiosity I noticed today. This misbehavior only happens when I operate from download tab. If I access playlist from home it works fine but Sadly that’s not what I want to do
