Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
Player Version#: Plexamp 3.4.4
Device: iBasso DX300
Android Version: 9
Music Files: FLAC/MP3
I installed Plexamp on my iBasso DX300 Android based DAP and music playback does not seem to work correctly:
Playback starts several seconds after I hit play, even for downloaded music (4-5s)
When sound does start it’s just constant static in the left channel and the right channel has the music playing very softly and what seems to be 2-3 times slower than it should be.
Pausing also takes 4-5s to happen from the time I press the pause button.
Playback on other devices (iOS/MacOS) is fine.
Playback of the same FLAC files in my Plex library works fine through other apps on the DAP
I did try this and the problem seems to be consistent regardless of which interface is selected.
I did perform a firmware update on the DAP and it reduced the lag with how long it takes Plexamp to react to play/pause commands, but the static and slowed playback persist.
Seems like a low-level audio issue, unfortunately; I’m not sure what to suggest. I’d look at a set of debug logs, as this may have clues. But perhaps due to the older version of Android, or the vendor’s implementation of AAudio and OpenSL ES. Did you make sure you killed the app and restarted after changing the interface, just in case?
