What is the possibility of getting a PlexAmp version on raspberry pi zero?
I thought of a project to build a Plexamp speaker using a headless raspberry pi zero with an audio hat and small amplifier all built into one box running of a single power adapter.
As I was testing out Plexamp on the raspberry pi, I came to realize the PiZero wouldn’t run it as the version of NodeJS used isn’t compatible with the ARM Processor on the PiZero. So I used a Raspberry Pi 3b+. The 3B+ is a little overkill for simply streaming music and I would love to use the 3B+ for something else.
So I wanted to know it it was possible to either fork it for the PiZero or possibly built it to use either version of NodeJS so it could work on both platforms?
I am attaching a picture of the finished PlexAmp Speaker. It actually sounds really nice and it’s pretty sweet to be able to control through Plex.
Possibly in the future, at the moment we’re focused on adding highly requested features on the mobile side.
That is a very cool speaker!
understandable.
Thank you, it was a fun learning experience and good little project.
