I noticed the other day after setting my phone to control my PC whole house system (Old school sound blaster Wi-Fi with D to A client boxes), that the audio was extremely quiet and compressed like crazy. This was very concerning as the sound was terrible on all my high fidelity systems. I have the limiter and loudness leveling turned off on both the phone player and PC player because I hate compression with a passion. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out if the PC soundboard or SoundBlaster software was doing this, but it turns out as a last resort I set the PC player to control locally and it cleared up… So this seems to mean that the super compressed settings for android are carrying over to any remote player on the network. The obvious question now for me is how do I permanently disable all limiting and loudness leveling on all my devices? Is there some sort of universal setting via the server that may take care of this? Please look into this as it really do not want to be battling it all the time. This is so close to being perfect for my system.
