I use Plexamp to queue up a bunch of music and let it play but the server/Plexamp will stop playing music randomly. Sometimes it will be after one track, sometimes it might stop after playing several tracks. There is no pattern that I can see. This happens regardless of if I use Plexamp on my phone (a Samsung S24) or if I use the Plexamp desktop app.
Today Plexamp decided to stop after ~1.5 hours:
@ 14:24: rebooted server
@ 14:25: rebooted my phone
@ 14:32: launched plexamp on my phone, queued up several albums, and started playing some music
@ 15:55: music stopped part way through an album
Server Version#: 4.41.7.9823
Player Version#: 4.12.3 (Plex Amp on a Samsung S24)
I am having the same problem on my iPhone IOS it won’t play on the app but will play on the web player and TV app but will not play music on my phone app. I’ve already rebooted both the server and my phone, logged out and back in, and even re-downloaded the app but the issue still persists. Just wanted to let you know that I’m still having music playback problems on my phone
Just to clarify, it looks like you are controlling another player (casting) with your phone. It is that player which is stopping, and we would need logs from it to understand what’s happening.
What kind of player are you controlling, it looks like something called “HTPC” but I don’t know what app that is?
Hi @elan That is correct, I am using the Plexamp app on my phone to cast to Plex HTPC which is running on my media center PC (a Windows 11 machine), named HTPC (I know 0 points for imagination).
Here are the Plex HTPC app logs from my media center: PlexHTPC-logs.zip (1.5 MB)
