Plexamp - Playlist issue w3.4.5 update

Downloaded playlists are now truncated at 24 hours on iOS version. Was not the case previously. Can’t download full playlists in excess of this limit. Please fix

That limitation didn’t exist for the regular Plex app… from what I remember Plexamp applies this limit of 24 hours to all downloads (and always has)

Not for me, that is until just recently. Had multiple downloaded playlists over 24 hours long.

The limitation has always been there.

And actually, to clarify—there used to be a “loophole” where a regular (not smart) playlist wouldn’t respect the limit, so this may be the change you are referring to, but it would be considered more a bug-fix than anything else as the limit is there for architectural and design reasons.

Scratching my head then, since I had multiple playlists downloaded that were well over the limit. Just noticed that one of them was starting to get truncated. I deleted the app and then downloaded the latest iOS version. Upon reloading my playlists to my iPhone, the limit is being applied to all. It worked at one point (I didn’t dream it - should have taken a screen shot to prove it!), but not currently. Possible to remove that limit in a future version?

These were regular playlists, so must have been the loophole you were referring to. I have organized some long playlists (500-600 songs for decade mixes). Would like to have that flexibility back (download them in full). Possibility of opening that back up?

Just looking more at the change, I’m pretty sure it would have downloaded up to 24 hours (as opposed to a smaller amount), which might have been enough to fit your playlists?

IOW, I think the loophole wasn’t as big as I expected.

Had multiple playlists in excess of 24 hrs (2 to 3X). Although had downloaded them to my iphone quite awhile ago (earlier versions of the app), although they seemed to continue to update/refresh as I made changes/adds.
