Plexamp remote sync

Can you confirm? Would I go to C:\Users\<stevep2567>\AppData\Local\Plexamp\Plexamp\Logs

Also, Plexamp isn’t installed on my computer. Only Plex is. Can I find the Plexamp logs on my phone?

  1. Open Plecamp
  2. Navigate to Settings > Debugging
  3. Click Share Logs
  4. Save the logs using the platform’s share/save function

Hopefully this helps

It’s able to connect when local:

May 16, 2025 12:48:46.478 [Javascript] INFO - DEVICE: Server connection worked for Synology ~ https://192-168-1-117.5a8b92caa7b34a57ae41ecbf6ed3cef7.plex.direct:32400

It’s also trying the IP 172.116.184.137, which is private:

May 16, 2025 12:48:46.479 [Javascript] WARNING - DEVICE: Server connection https://172-116-184-137.5a8b92caa7b34a57ae41ecbf6ed3cef7.plex.direct:20880 didn't work for Synology: HTTP status -7

It’s not trying any public addresses, which would seem to imply that the server isn’t properly publishing itself to plex.tv

Like I said, it worked perfectly for like the first week, then somehow this happened. How can we fix and assure it doesn’t continue to happen?

I don’t know, because your network is a mystery to me  I can only comment on what the app is trying.

I was incorrect about the 172 address being private, it’s public, just that Plexamp is unable to reach your server on it.

I’m not sure if the logs you posted were for remote access, as it was able to connect remotely. It may be that your router has NAT loopback disabled, which would explain why it couldn’t connect internally via the external IP.

What would I have to do to bribe someone to remote into my computer and login to my server? :folded_hands::folded_hands: If you think that might help…

Don’t you have that one smart relative who is a giant nerd but fixes everyone’s computer during Thanksgiving so you kind of appreciate him even though he rambles on about anime and other such topics?

Haha! I wish! I had Louis and Chuck get my Plex completely set up on my Synology. Those guys were awesome. Everything was working great. No issues on remote…and then you guys updated the app. I thought I was saved with Plexamp, but that was short-lived. Cmon Elan, find me a ninja! I’m sure one of you guys can help me knock this out quick! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
